After many years and attending thousands of emergencies as a paramedic, I found that a high proportion of the general public do not know the basics in terms of first aid. I often thought to myself that whilst their friend, colleague or loved one waited for the ambulance to arrive the situation may have had a better outcome had someone known first aid.
So, after Weeks of gaining the relevant qualifications to teach, I became a first aid instructor. From this, Immediate First Aid was born, to learn first aid before you need it.
With over 24 years as an NHS paramedic in the North West, I set up Immediate First Aid, as I wanted to pass on my extensive knowledge and experience to others. I hold a Highfield Level 3 Award in Education and Training (RQF).
I am a member of the resuscitation council UK and a qualified basic life support instructor with the resuscitation council. a member of the college of paramedics. I am a registered paramedic with the Health and Care professions council, a fully qualified and fully insured first aid instructor, an advanced life support provider and hold an enhanced DBS adult/children.
All qualifications are awarded by First Aid Awards with Nuco Training as the approved Centre. Course standards have been set under the guidance from the Health and Safety Executive, Skills Council for Health and Ofqual.
