I have delivered training to a wide range of education settings ensuring staff are sufficiently trained in first aid for the age range they teach.
In addition to this, I have also supported schools by delivering Mini-Medics training to pupils, to meet the National Curriculum objective that children and young people should be taught first aid skills at both primary and secondary levels, as part of the PSHE curriculum. Mini medics is a very basic introduction to first aid and defibrillation aimed at children between the ages of 8 and 11 but it can suit children of any age .
The course is kept at a basic level with no use of confusing terminologies and will show complete respect for the child's ability ,make it educational and practical and instil the importance of helping someone who is poorly or injured.
courses are 1 or 3 hours and include CPR ,recovery position what to do in a first aid situation (DR ABC) choking wounds and bleeding and asthma each child will receive a certificate of participation .
